APPLE CRISP



Ingredients:
6 c. sliced fruit
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup regular rolled oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup chopped nuts and coconut (optional)

Directions:
We used 6 cups of freshly sliced apple.   (We ran the apples through the apple peeler corer slicer)
Place fruit in a 9" by 12" rectangle  baking dish.  Stir in granulated sugar.  

For topping in a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients except butter.
Then softened butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Sprinkle topping over fruit.

Bake in a 375 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes (40 minutes for thawed fruit) 
or until fruit is tender and topping is golden.  If desired, serve warm with whipping cream or ice cream.
