Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing Elizabeth Hair Craven, that's right...me!

Being a part of 17 children growing up, that's right, 17! (yes, they were all from one set of parents. No, there weren't any adoptions. Yes, there was one set of twins. You could say my parents are crazy, but I'd say they are the sweetest, giving, most humble human beings to have ever lived) and having 9 children of my own, has given me a love to self sustain with the means we have been given. I'm a huge advocate for healthy living (and saving) by eating at home. This doesn't mean you don't get your ice cream or cakes (are you kidding? How would the Craven family survive?) but to have clean ingredients and easy recipes to use at home. We try to eat as best we can to keep our bodies moving at 100%, but we do make room for granulated sugars and especially chocolate, so try not to judge us. What can we say, we love love good food! And if that means to add a cup of sugar, we're willing; to a certain extent.  

We've all had the hard times of coming home and not knowing what to cook, or maybe you do, but you want to take it a step further and increase your food storage or learn to make bread. This is why I'm here, to help you learn canning, cooking, pressure cooking (who doesn't love their instant pot?), baking, and give a few family recipes (shhhh, don't tell my kids). In reality, I want my children to pass this on to their children, to continue on through generations and when I'm not here anymore to answer their bread questions, hopefully, they can look back on this blog and smile. I'm here to help and share. If you have any bread questions, I'm your girl. Just ask.

And maybe if you're lucky, you'll get to see more pictures of me and this silver fox (wink)
