Strawberry Pie
We had a class on pies a few days ago. I usually use Strawberry junket for my strawberry pie but there wasn't any at the store I went too. So this is a good recipe that I made up.
3 cups of water (Pour the water in a pan)
Add 3 drops of sof-gel red, red food coloring and mix until it is all mixed together, so it looks red
Add 1 cup of sugar to 1/2 cup of clear jell
Mix this into the water and cook it until it is hot
Add 3 drops of the strawberry flavoring that comes from the Lorann Oils.
Then add 1/2 of a teaspoon of citric acid
4 drops of lemon juice
Blend 10 strawberries with a little of the sauce above.
Pour all of this into your pan and heat through until it starts to boil. Boil for 3 minutes or until
This is thick.
Then put in a bowl and refrigerate until this is cool. Put as many cut up strawberries as you want and then add to a pie crust and put in your cooked pie shell. Top with whipping cream.
