Yellow Cake in Kids Class
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of buttery emulsion
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup milk
Cream sugar and butter well. Add egg one at a time beating egg well. Add your vanilla and butter emulsion.
Sift dry ingredients together and add the dry ingredients. Add milk last.
The rose on the top is made out of modeling clay this is done by melting one pound of the chocolate a-peels that we sale at the Bosch Kitchen Center. You melt this in a glass bowl for one minute then you take out and stir, continue to melt at 30 second intervals mixing each time until all is melted. 1/2 cup of Karo Syrup is needed for each pound of chocolate. You will need to heat the Karo Syrup up in the microwave, so that it is the same temperate as the chocolate, then add your food coloring to the Karo Syrup add soft gel food coloring and mix well. Add the Karo Syrup to the chocolate when they are both mixed and smooth mix until the ingredients are mixed together. Do not over mix. Dump out on wax paper, or parchment liners for 1 hour. Then you can start your modeling. This flower is done mini heart cookie cutter. You just continue to cut hearts out and form your flower. It is so fun, use it for a family get together.
