Baking Powder Grain Biscuits
Grind:
1/2 cup of millet
1/2 cup of barley
1/2 cup rye
1/2 cup of oat grouts
1/2 cup of buckwheat
1/2 cup brown rice
2 cups of wheat
2 cups of soft white wheat
Grind all grains together.
Biscuits Ingredients
4 cups of the ground flour
2 cubes of butter
6 tsp. of baking powder
2 tsps. of salt
1 1/4 cups milk
Mix together with fingers or pulse in your electric stand mixer with your whips, until the butter is mixed into the flour and forms little beads. Once this is done exchange your wire whips for your dough hook. Mix milk just until the flour blended well. Roll dough on a floured surface until it is about 2 inches thick. Cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Put on your cookie sheet. Bake on 400 degrees from 10 to 12 minutes. These are paired great honey butter.
