Twix Bars

Shortbread layer

1 cup butter
1 cup confectioner sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 cups of bakers flour

Mix all ingredients.  First add butter, sugar and vanilla.  Cream together in the Bosch mixer.  I used the cookie dough paddle for this one.  Then add the flour.  Spread it thin in the bottom of a cookie sheet.  Remember this will be the layer of cookie in your twix bar.   Bake at 300 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until slightly brown.  Cut into the pieces you want, then put it aside to.   When it is cool add your caramel layer.

Caramel layer

2 cups caramel
3 Tablespoons of cream or milk

3 cups of chocolate   (Which ever you prefer.  I used Peters chocolate)
1 Tablespoon of coconut oil or regular oil

Once again you are going to paint the chocolate in your chocolate bar mold, that you can get at the Bosch Kitchen Center.  Then add your piece of shortbread with the caramel on it.  Put the caramel against the chocolate that you have already painted in the mold.  Then pour chocolate over the back of the candy bar mold.  Put this in your freezer and leave for a couple of minutes or until the chocolate is dry.  Then hit against counter and they will fall out perfectly.
